Measures Body Temperature and Liquids

This smart ear thermometer from Seagull offers two features: measuring body temperature and measuring the temperature of liquids or objects, such as bathwater.

Using infrared light, the thermometer quickly and easily measures body temperature in the ear. To ensure an accurate and precise reading, the tip of the thermometer should be covered with a plastic ear cap for each measurement. The cap protects the thermometer from dirt and earwax, making it hygienic to use.

The thermometer fits comfortably in hand and features just two buttons, making it super easy to use. When not in use, it can be placed in the included holder.

How to Use the Ear Thermometer

Attach a new and clean plastic ear cap. It's important that the cap is fitted correctly. The display will indicate if the cap is missing or incorrectly fitted by showing the letters CAP. The product comes with 15 ear caps, but additional caps are available for purchase.
Press the on/off button. The display briefly shows all symbols as the device is designed to check all functions before a new measurement is taken.
The thermometer signals with a beep that it is ready to take a new measurement.
Straighten the ear canal (by gently pulling up on the ear) and insert the thermometer into the ear, ensuring a tight fit. Then press the TEST button to start measuring.
The measurement takes approximately 1 second and ends with a beep. The result is displayed on the screen.
You can take a new measurement as soon as the ear icon appears on the display. However, it is recommended to wait at least 20 seconds between each measurement. Remember to use a new ear cap before the next measurement.
The thermometer automatically turns off after 60 seconds or by pressing the on/off button.

Readout:

- A happy face appears on the display if the result is lower than 37.8 °C.

- A sad face appears on the display if the result is higher than 37.8 °C.

Measuring Liquids or Objects

Switch to "object mode" to read the temperature of a liquid or object. This is done by holding down the on/off button while pressing the TEST button. The thermometer will signal with two beeps that it is ready to measure liquids or objects. To measure, position the thermometer 1-2 cm from the item you wish to measure - this is done without the cap. Then press the TEST button to start the measurement.
